The Holiday Sketches

Well here it is, less than 2 weeks from Christmas.

SNL has been a welcome escape from the events of the world, as well the nuttiness that always ensues this time of year.

Tina & Amy will be gracing the stage at 30 Rockefellar Center this coming Saturday, and I CANNOT WAIT TO SEE SISTERS!

When I'm dunked in a little too much reality, I try to think of the bizarre, amusing aspects of my day, just for the schadenfreude of it.  Not really the meaning of it, but hope you get my point.

So here are a few holiday sketch ideas I came up with, just for the fun of it.

*Pete Davidson is adorable, and talented.  SNL has several great sketches that feature elves, so I think if they used Pete Davidson for one of those annoying Elf on the Shelf's (or is it Elves on the Shelf, hell I don't know... or care) the result would be memorable.  Could have tête-à-tête between Moshe the Mensch on a Bench and an Elf on the Shelf...

*Think it's totally in the realm of possibility to have a sketch that features a parent visiting the ER after trying to open a friggin' toy.  Finger dangling, loss of teeth, and sliced tongue, all from trying to open a Barbie Saddle 'N Ride Horse.  Yep, this is actually a real toy.  Clearly this Barbie is made differently.  Good thing they included the word "Horse" in the title.

*"Rejected Doll Island"; along the lines of the Island of Misfit Toys.

Possible rejected dolls:  The Barbie Saddle 'N Ride Doll; (see above50 Shades of Grey's Ana and Christian dolls; Caitlin; Rachel Dolezal; any and all of the presidential candidates.  Although, some are easier to imagine.  Candidate dolls could even talk.  "I'm so great...they're such LOSERS..."

*Sketch where candidates meet up unexpectedly while Christmas shopping.  Possibilities range from who's the better Christian, to a drop down wrestling match over the last Star Wars Bladebuilders Jedi Master Lightsaber.   Easy to imagine.

*From my page, SNL Sketches I'd Like To See, Martha Stewart's black sheep sister pays a holiday visit.  Would be extra special if Ana Gasteyer could make an appearance as Martha.  Kate McKinnon would do the black sheep sister character proud.

*Truly Tasteless Holiday QVC or HSN.  Have Leslie Jones as the host, with her hilarious call 'em as she sees them candidness.

Cause yup, tasteless products... they're out there-
.
Ring a ding ding; deck them halls.
