Why Are These Men Snapping?

This ad drives me nuts.

This is the only one I could find, but seems to me there's another one out there that has many men,   snapping to prove that ... their underarm deodorant is dry...by snapping.  Seriously?

There's one for women as well, though I couldn't find that to share.  I saw the men's ad a few weeks ago.  The first time I saw it I laughed.  Now I just mute it or change the channel.

I don't know what advertising agency handles Unilever Global, who I think is the parent company.
I just find this commercial to be completely silly.

Hell, I can snap in dry air; in a windstorm, and underwater.  I assure you I'm not a super talented freak of nature.

The only time I like to hear snapping is during a jazz number.  Any other time it's usually a sign that I've just missed a train, or have forgotten something.  Worse case scenario, snapping is a way to get someone's attention.  If you haven't been yet informed, allow me; IT IS EXTREMELY RUDE.

Guess they're maybe trying to say the deodorant/antiperspirant dries quick as a snap.  However, this is the 21st century and today there are many things that are quicker than a snap.  How about, In a flash?  Depicted by a flash of a camera; or a flasher.  Just a couple of helpful suggestions.

No, it's not the worst commercial running.  I'll think about it and get back to you.  Probably the Cialis and Viagra ads that run during Saturday morning NCAAF or NHL games.  Great market planning.  Wish they'd keep in mind that kids watch sports too.  Nothing like trying to explain erectile dysfunction to young daughters before you've had a cup of coffee.
