Sadie's Gathering : I Go To Extremes... ¯\_(ツ)

So... as I've written a lot on here, and have written a good bit since I was much younger... as I've requested before... it's so easy to do... Please just contribute$, over there,-->on the DONATE tab😉

I received so many compliments, even way back then..., so I decided to get a journalism degree, when I went to West Virginia University College.

Since, I got a degree in journalism & psychology; then I was invited by a high school buddy, who was going to a University of Chicago, in Hyde Park; so that is why I moved to Chicago in 1991, hoping to get a copywriting job. I'd gone to Chicago for the first time, right before I graduated WVU. I was amazed, and a fan of the city!

As I have stated before, I initially worked in a futon store, (Made a few great friends) though decided to wait tables again, so I would get more $... then since I was hired by Lettuce Entertainment, I discovered it was one of the best restaurant companies.

It is still privately owned, even though it's been going since 1971!

There are some folks who were surprised, LEYE is still privately owned, and since they knew I worked with them for nearly 10 years, most of them asked me, if I knew why, they were still privately owned.

As I told them, we were told initially: Nobody has enough time in their lives to spend a billion dollars. We don't need to be the richest, or the biggest company...just want to be one of the best ones! So, we were instructed to hire smart, (to not hire as soon as an interview; 3 staff members should interview each one, then researched to be sure, they're as good as we thought.) So, as I mentioned, with that process, I met, and married one who was hired; and my husband and I are still friends with several who worked for LEYE! And we're not the only ones who married... though I know of several humans who have been with LEYE, for many years!

Since all us humans have 24 hours per day, we were told to "Hire smart (as I just wrote); train well, treat well, and a company is built well!!!

If a company does not do that, (doesn't hire smart, or TREAT WELL) that company would be like a hamster on a wheel... hire & train; hire & train; won't have time to think about how to improve different departments... ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Since most of the photos, I have done on here, in addition to my writing; and then, since my current part time job has changed a good bit; so I do not get as much $ as I used to.

I've been with that store, for nearly 9 years... and since I really like so many who work there, and initially it was great to meet so many, and chat with adults; since I am working on a lot of writing, and my husband and I adore our two darlins, while they still lives with us!

Also, if you read more of this post, you'll see more of my photos, a couple of recipes; one is a list of what to eat to avoid cancer!!! I researched that years ago... and have found it works great!

There will be also a photo of a coffee table, which one of my great friends made in, ~1999!!! She's still a great artist! Also a great nurse!!!

So, this page...

is the ~pseudo recipe... list of foods for an Anti Cancer Diet! I researched, then printed this up, and put it along with a lot of recipes, I created. There was one time when I was thinking about trying to create and get published a cookbook. So that is why I have, several recipes ... ~40 ... over there ~>>>>>

For some reason, if you tap on the Recipes, there may be a "Sensitive Content Warning" with that too, for some reason... just tap the orange tab, that states, "I UNDERSTAND AND I WISH TO CONTINUE" just do that, and you will see so many good recipes! Most have photos, I've taken too.😉😊

So, one of the reasons I researched this, was because of some family members had gone through different types of cancer.

Since I grew up in Parkersburg, WV; my bf pseudo sister, and I could smell, a good bit, since there were ~5 chemical companies... and we stated it smelled ... a good bit like used tampons ... especially in the summer😝😂 We agreed, we'd both move somewhere else after we be done with high school. Though it was so much fun!

So... after I lost my mom... and so many others had passed, relatively early, I did the researching, and printed up that page. I still eat that way.

Yesterday, was my mom's sister's 98th birthday! So, there are several loved ones, who are doing fine.

Though in 2019, the movie, Dark Waters, really reminded me of so many people, I knew! Some are greatfully still doing pretty well🙏

Though, also, after I lost my mom, and visited my aunt, and she had an AARP Magazine, I was encouraged to read.

There was a man, from New England, Vermont, or one of the other ones... ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ He'd been diagnosed with a terminal cancer. He was advised he would be dying in 3~6months. That man and his wife, had wanted to travel to Greece, since before he died.

Then, at the end of the story, AARP stated that man and his wife were still living in Greece; and greatly enjoying it! And it had been 7 years, prior, when he was diagnosed with terminal cancer, in the United States ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

This is why I have learned and have stated ... we are all human, it is time we agree to disagree, tomorrow is nobody's promise...take good care or ourselves, and our loved ones. I don't think we should have any wars, since we all human! Nobody's 100% good or less than good... regardless of jobs, professions... I hope nobody hurts, kills, anyone, and not themselves.🙏

I adore squirrels ... and I can tell they have as different perceptions as us humans do ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ ...

So, I'm sharing this great recipe for Egg Nog...

Since I love Egg Nog in my coffee, during the holiday season. Before I decided to try that, I added a bit of half-n-half and two or three teaspoons of sugar, in my coffee.

Since a friend I met at the grocery store I bartend at, she went to Jamaica, and brought me back a Jamaica coffee; and I loved it!. Then I discovered, Cameron Coffee has a Jamaican blend coffee, so I've ordered a good bit from there !!!

Since there's no Egg Nog at grocery stores, not long after, Christmas, nor the new year....so that's is why I looked that up! It's easy to do! I usually do just half the amount, since I am the only one in the family, who likes past the major holidays! Also, just to let y'all know, it is by Lauren Allen!

Oh, and this was the first book I read of Heather Terrell/Marie Benedict, in 2019, a couple of months before we went to Ireland!!!

It is a great book!!! When we went to Kildare I got a cross necklace, in honor of Saint Brigid of Kildare!

A good, beautiful friend went to Kenya, Africa to volunteer for kids who were going through a good bit of health issues... it was in 1998.

Then, she went to Lamu Island, right off the coast, for holidays and the New Year of 1999... met the love of her life!

He's very good looking, fun and kind!!!

Since Davis was on an episode of Early Edition, in 1999, I think that is how first got his SAG. Since Kyle Chandler was the main host, he and Davis figured out, they were both from Florida, and Kyle's brother was Davis's dad's medical advisor!

So fun and nice! Since we're all humans, and since we all find out so many connections !!!
